Position: Research and Development (R&D) Analyst

Location: New York Greater Area / Remote 

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated Research and Development (R&D) Analyst to join our team focused on personality disorders research. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct research on personality disorders, particularly Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), to inform the development and testing of innovative programs and therapies targeting the fragmented object relations. The Research and Development (R&D) Analyst will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate research findings into effective treatment solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on personality disorders, with a focus on understanding object relations and their impact on behavior and mental health.
  • Design and implement research studies to evaluate the efficacy and feasibility of new programs and therapies.
  • Collaborate with clinical psychologists, psychoanalysts, and therapists to integrate research findings into treatment protocols, training manuals, and program material. 
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and industry experts to stay at the forefront of personality disorder research.
  • Prepare research reports, presentations, and publications for dissemination in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Support product development initiatives by providing research insights and recommendations based on empirical evidence.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Work, or related field with a focus on personality disorders research.
  • Experience conducting research, preferably in mental health or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of object relations theory and its application in personality disorder treatment.
  • Proven ability to design and execute research studies, analyze data, and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in grant writing, project management, and collaborating in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R) and qualitative research methods.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
